Heather’s Accomplishments (under construction)

2025

  • February 6th, 2025 - Was hired to be a Kitchen Assistant for Sewell Dining Hall at the University of Colorado Boulder, gaining leadership, team, and organizational skills in a real world setting. 
  • March 4th, 2025 - Officially began her campaign to become the Representative-at-Large for the University of Colorado Boulder, giving the students a much needed voice against the attacks from faculty, staff, and even the Trump administration on the students.
  • March 21st, 2025 - Was officially elected to be a Representative-at-Large for the University of Colorado in the Spring 2025 election. 
  • March 22nd, 2025 - Was formally invited to the United Mexican American Student and Mecha 2025 National Conference hosted by the College of the Sequoia in Visalia, California to represent the University of Colorado Boulder Chapter.
  • March 23rd, 2025 - Rallied and protested alongside Californian farmers against the tyrannical government over reach and policies enacted by the Trump administration.
  • March 24th, 2025 - Final day of the conference and voted alongside many chapters from across the nation on various issues, that ranged from club to club and combating the effects of executive discrimination, to set a national agenda.
  • April 4th, 2025 - Officially stepped down from running for the position of Representative-at-Large to allow her undergraduate contenders have their first opportunity in a leadership role.
  • April 7th, 2025 - Was offered the opportunity to volunteer as a Producer Coordinator for the Conference on World Affairs at the University of Colorado Boulder for renowned voices on current affairs, published authors, and featured Academy Award winning Actress from films such as “Wicked” Cynthia Ervin.
  • April 24th, 2025 - Was elected Events Coordinator for the United Mexican American Students of CU Boulder which will continue traditions held be previous administrations as well as orchestrate new ways to build up student engagement and retention on campus.

2024

  • January 8th 2024 - Was hired as Administrative Assistant for the Department of Social Sciences ensuring the execution of any administrative duties or responsibilities from faculty or staff in department.
  • January 31st, 2024 - Talked to law makers in Colorado about policies effecting the Community Colleges of Colorado Systems and began dialogue with representatives to include students in their decision making. 
  • February 14th, 2024 - Met with the heads of the Community College of Colorado Systems, all 13 presidents of each campus and the team that oversees them, and discussed the 10 year plan they wish to implement throughout all of Colorado, how it’s in its initial stages, and how they’re working with a company to ensure high yielding results.
  • April 17th, 2024 - Was given an Award and recognized for her outstanding achievements as Chair of the SSAC for CCCS.
  • May 9th, 2024 - Graduated from Front Range Community College with her Associates Degree in Political Science.
  • July 15th, 2024 - Was accepted and admitted into the University of Colorado Boulder.
  • July 30th, 2024 - Was hired as the Sports Sustainability Fan Engagement Assistant, assisting with administrative duties as well as educating tail gaters at CU football games how to be responsible fans and keep sports green.

2023:

  • August 25th, 2023 - Was voted into the Student Government Association at Front Range Community College as the State Student Advisory Council Representative. Defining laws and changes on a state wide level and communicating changes that will effect the students and faculty of FRCC.
  • August 28th, 2023 - Was hired as a Student Ambassador for FRCC introducing students to the college campus and hosting events for new and coming students, as well as answering students questions in person and through email.
  • September 1st, 2023 - Was hired as Equity and Inclusion Liaison for Front Range Community College, looking for and advocating for student issues that may be effecting the community.
  • September 8th, 2023 - Became interim Chair of the State Student Advisory Council while we held elections for executive roles. Began her campaign as Chair for the State Student Advisory Council, overseeing the council and setting the agenda for current school year.
  • December 8th, 2023 - Offically nominated Chair of the State Student Advisory Council overseeing all 13 community colleges in Colorado.
